Portrait has been shifting around restlessly in our heads for over two decades. Through countless rewrites, endless questioning, and some memorable late nights, we have finally become confident enough to release it, knowing that it is what it was always supposed to be.

This album is a tribute to our home and family. It was originally intended for them alone, but our family keeps growing. One day you’ll probably be a member by marriage, so you might as well get to know everyone.

There are songs on here that are highly personal, and there are songs that are universal. Our hope is that even the personal ones will strike you as true and good, even if you don’t know all of the details.

Portrait is for anyone who has ever longed for home and hearth. It’s for anyone who grew up surrounded by the beauty of family, and misses it. It’s also for anyone who didn’t, but wishes for a world where they could have. This is for you too.

So on Labor Day 2026, hop in the old truck with us, and let’s go home again for just a little while.
